Job Description

New Directions Education are recruiting inspiring, dedicated and inspirational Primary Teachers to provide cover within the Primary school setting. We work alongside some of the biggest as well as the smallest schools in the Torfaen area to help with their supply/cover needs. This could be daily cover as well as long term cover and this role would suit both NQT’s and experienced teachers. We are looking for candidates to cover in Foundation Phase or Key Stage 2 or both!

We also care about our candidates and offer a variety of CPD learning opportunities and host multiple webinars/seminars during the half term breaks. Some of these are Incidental Welsh, British Sign Language, Assessment for Learning, Mindfulness and Wellbeing plus many more.

NQT’s will also benefit from our newly launched NQT Support Programme where you will also have a dedicated NQT consultant, talks/webinars from the EWC and Central South Consortium as well as valuable advice from Headteacher’s on what to expect in your NQT year, Lesson Observation tips and CV/Cover letter advise.

Job Requirements include:

• A passion for raising student expectations and achievements
• The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils
• The ability to remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role
• Eligible to work in the UK
• In possession of a clear DBS with the update service and registered with the EWC
