New Directions are currently working in partnership with a
large primary school in Bridgend who are looking to appoint a teacher to cover
planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) on a part time basis.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate
effective teaching and learning standards in the foundation phase and KS2 and
hold high expectations of children’s achievements, behaviour and skill
This position would suit a confident, forward thinking
teacher who is passionate about their work and can act as a positive role model
for the pupils they teach. The school are proud of its positive ethos,
excellent behaviour and committed team of staff. This role will involve a lot
of team work with other teachers so a teacher with exceptional interpersonal
skills is a must.
The school are particularly interested in Teachers who have
a physical education or an art background.
This position would suit either a Newly Qualified Teacher
(NQT) or an experienced teacher.

As a newly qualified teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
