Job Description

New Directions are looking to recruit experienced key stage 2 teachers for primary schools located across the Conwy Borough.

We are looking for teachers who would be happy to do either day to day cover and/or long-term positions.

Working on supply is an ideal way to introduce you into local primary schools in the area, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with schools where upcoming teaching positions are likely to become available.

Due to the range of positions available New Directions should be able to offer you work to fit around your own availability.

If you are primary teacher in or around the area we would love to hear from you.

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges

  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
