Job Description

New Directions Education are seeking Primary school teachers to work in and around the Caerphilly Borough area. As one of the preferred suppliers in the area, you will get to teach within some of the best schools in the area. On behalf of our clients, we are seeking Primary teachers to cover Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 classes for both daily and long term supply opportunities.

At New Directions Education we pride ourselves on the service and opportunities that we provide to not only our clients but to our candidates! We are constantly providing our candidates with online CPD accredited training plus on site training such as Team Teach, Personal Safety and Behaviour Management, First Aid, British Sign Language plus many more once it is safe for us to do so.

In the past, we have worked closely alongside Cardiff Blues and through this relationship, we have held football tournaments for children to attend and take part in provided trophies and medals for the winning school. We also offer schools Team Teach, First Aid and British Sign Language training. In addition to that, our Account Managers like to get stuck in and, before COVID, you would regularly find us at schools fates, fundraising days, running stalls, provide trophies and even participating in sports days activities.

Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum 
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
