New Directions Education are currently seeking qualified Primary Teachers to cover the time set aside for each teacher within Year 1 through to Year 6 to conduct Planning, Preparation and Assessments (PPA) in a number of regular schools. The schools are looking for a regular pool of teachers in order to provide continuity for the pupils and for the teachers to be able to familiarise themselves with the school ethos, routines and schemes of work. We will be able to put your details forward for these positions as soon as your file is compliant. If the schools do not require you for certain days, New Directions will be able to source work for you in other schools if this is something you seek. All positions are temporary but would be on a regular basis.
We welcome applicants who:
Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC);
Have the flexibility to teach each year group on a weekly timetable;
Can confidently liaise with each teaching member of staff to plan lessons in accordance to the Skills Framework;
Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) or experienced classroom practitioners.
Candidates will be working closely with other class teachers and support staff and will agree subject areas that need to be taught. Schemes of work will be provided by the subject co-ordinators but you will have the autonomy to devise and deliver your own lesson content. This is a great opportunity for teachers to familiarise themselves within a pool of regular schools and to embrace being part of the school’s team. New Directions will be able to offer you free online training courses and a dedicated account manager to work on your behalf. New Directions will also provide NQT applicants with an experienced NQT Consultant to support them through their Induction period.
