New Directions Education are looking to register supply teachers on behalf of a Primary School within Swansea for short term cover roles. The school has over 250 pupils and over 10 classes with a morning Nursery group. Due to the size of the school, there are often members of staff out of class and they are seeking regular supply teachers who will be able to get to know the school routine, pupils and provide continuity. The school is able to offer a variety of work patterns to suit individual requirements and during busier parts of the term full time hours will be available.
We welcome applicants who:
Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC);
Are comfortable teaching every year group and can differentiate accordingly;
Are available for supply bookings with either advance notice or on the day;
Can confidently liaise with staff, pupils and parents;
Seek supply work on a short- or longer-term basis.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
