New Directions are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and
motivated Attendance Officer.
This is a temporary position and will be cover a 4-6-week period from May
through till June. The role of an Attendance Officer is to work to improve attendance,
input attendance data, following up morning messages and working closely with
the school support services team.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who has done this role previously who may not necessarily want a full-time position. And it was looking to help schools across the Wirral with temporary support roles.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience within a School Attendance role
is essential for this particular placement.
Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
Excellent skills in terms analysing data and producing reports
Experience of working with children or young people
Provide high level of support to teachers and pupils
Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
We recruit a wide variety of school office staff roles, including school secretaries, receptionists, administrators, and school clerks.
Duties are varied and may include the following:
Receptionist duties such as answering the phone and welcoming visitors
Administrative duties such as typing letters, sorting post, managing emails
Dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationery, paying invoices, handling monies, printing and photocopying and managing schools systems like SIMS
School office staff must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. Working knowledge of SIMS system is advantageous.
Schools will expect all school support staff to have a good standard of education, some previous office work experience and ideally previous experience working working within an educational setting.
