New Directions are looking to appoint a hardworking and motivated School Caretaker, to provide relief caretaker support to primary schools in Cardiff.
As a primary school Caretaker, you will be required to work split-shifts, such as 7am – 11am and 3pm – 6pm and you will be the main key-holder for the school.
The positions available are both long and short-term temporary, therefore all applicants must be flexible, reliable and adaptable to the demands of each school.
Our clients are seeking applicants with previous maintenance / building experience, an awareness of health and safety and excellent practical knowledge.
Caretakers are responsible for looking after a school site including the buildings and grounds.
The duties of a school Caretaker include:
Caretakers must be honest, reliable and trustworthy. They must be able to work well on their own using their own initiative, as well as working within a larger team.
Candidates will ideally have previous caretaking experience; however New Directions will consider candidates who have a background in maintenance, decorating, facilities or security.
It’s mandatory that caretakers have a clear DBS either registered with the Update Service or a New Directions DBS.
