New Directions Education are recruiting for a hardworking and motivated School Caretaker to work on a relief basis within primary and secondary schools in Wrexham.
Due to the nature of relief work, all applicants must be flexible and reliable and willing to work in various local schools covering long and short-term internal absences. The role is due to start in September 2019 and the working hours will vary depending on specific school requirements.
The successful candidate will sometimes be required to work split-shifts, such as 6am – 10am and 3pm – 6pm, with some requirement to work during the school holidays.
Applicants with a strong building/maintenance background who arw confident overseeing all general maintenance and repairs on site.

Caretakers must be honest, reliable and trustworthy. They must be able to work well on their own using their own initiative, as well as working within a larger team.
Candidates will ideally have previous caretaking experience; however New Directions will consider candidates who have a background in maintenance, decorating, facilities or security.
It’s mandatory that caretakers have a clear DBS either registered with the Update Service or a New Directions DBS.
