Job Description

New Directions Education are looking to appoint a relief School Caretaker, to provide temporary support to schools in Swansea

Due to the nature of relief work, all applicants must be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to work in different schools in the area, covering long and short-term internal absences such as sickness and maternity.

The positions available are full-time, Monday-Friday, and can include split-shifts (e.g. 6am – 10am and 3pm – 7pm). There will also be work available during the school holidays.

Our clients are seeking applicants with excellent practical skills and an awareness of health, safety, and security. Previous experience as a school caretaker is highly desirable. Applicants without this experience will still be considered but must have experience working in building, maintenance, or trades roles with transferable skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance person to take on flexible work, whilst providing essential support to local schools.
