New Directions are looking to appoint a professional and adaptable School Receptionist, to provide support to Secondary Schools in Cardiff.
We have long and short-term roles available and the working hours are full-time 8 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday, term-time only. Due to the nature of supply, all applicants must be flexible, reliable and willing to work in different schools in the area.
Our clients are seeking experienced individuals, who are able to work well in a busy, high-pressure environment and are confident working independently to run the busy school reception area. Previous experience using the School Information Management System (SIMS) is essential, as daily use is required and no training is available.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school receptionist to join us, to support local secondary schools and work as an integral part of the school support team.
We recruit a wide variety of School Office Staff roles, including school secretaries, receptionists, administrators, and school clerks.
Duties are varied and may include the following:
School Office Staff must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. Working knowledge of SIMS system is advantageous.
Schools will expect all school support staff to have a good standard of education, some previous office work experience and ideally previous experience working within an educational setting.
