New Directions are looking to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable School Support Officer, to work on supply basis providing temporary support to primary schools in Bridgend.
The nature of supply work will require applicants to cover long and short-term positions in local schools, covering internal absences such as sickness or maternity. Applicants must be available to work full-time, 8:30am – 4pm, term-time only.
Our clients are seeking professional applicants with previous experience working in a primary school office. Experience using the School Information Management System (SIMS) is integral for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced School Support Officer to join New Directions, to take on flexible work and support primary schools in the local area.

We recruit school secretaries who are typically experienced in SIMS, and fully computer literate. You must be able to deal with confidential information, work on a variety of tasks, and deal with public and staff at all levels.
Candidates who have a background in maintenance, decorating, facilities, or in a trade are of interest to us for caretaker roles. This is a responsible role within the school, often being a key holder where you could be required to work split shifts, as well as responding to security alerts on the school’s premises.
Schools often come to New Directions Education for catering staff to work in the school canteen. Ideally, you’ll have an up-to-date Food Hygiene certificate and also have experience in working in a catering role.
