If you answered yes, a fantastic secondary school based in The Wirral are looking for science teacher like you to teach across Key Stages 3 & 4 (KS3 & KS4)!

This school are looking for a science teacher to join their team of experienced teachers on a long-term basis, starting this September.

They are looking for someone that utilises both indoor and outdoor spaces for experiments and loves creating engaging lesson plans that get students excited about science. You should also have a passion for your subject and challenging the unknown, encouraging your students to be inquisitive.

Job Specification

If your specialism is teaching biology, physics or chemistry and you’re looking for work in a school, we may have jobs to interest you, particularly if you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or looking for supply teaching work.

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
