New Directions is currently looking to recruit a Science Teacher with experience working in a SEN department. The position will be a full-time position starting in September in the Wirral area.
As a special education Science Teacher, you will be required to monitor and ensure pupils progress adhering to the schools current policies. Playing a key role in providing an invaluable programme of education for vulnerable students who present challenging behaviours. The post can sometimes be challenging but in its own right a rewinding role to be in.
If your specialism is teaching biology, physics or chemistry and you’re looking for work in a school, we may have jobs to interest you, particularly if you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or looking for supply teaching work.
As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
