New Directions are recruiting for a Science Teacher on behalf of a secondary school based in Wrexham.
Successful applicants will be expected to provide stimulating and academically challenging teaching of Biology, Physics or Chemistry up to GCSE level. The school have high behavioural and education expectations for its pupils and as the Teacher you would be expected to uphold these both in and out of the classroom.
You will be required to keep up-to-date with current content and teaching methods of the subject, remaining familiar with examination requirements whilst providing additional support to other team members when required.

As a science teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
