We are currently recruiting for an
experienced Math SEN Teacher to work within a Secondary Special School in Birkenhead.
The school caters for students with a range of complex needs including
moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. Therefore, it is
essential that the successful candidate has previous experience working with
children with Special Education Needs.
The role is to start as soon as
possible. You will also be expected to be flexible during the working hours and
be happy to work with children on a one-to-one basis and in groups.
The successful candidate will: – Be highly experienced working with children with Special Educational Needs – Be comfortable with providing personal care to some students – Be able to support and help to identify the learning outcomes and tasks that ensure challenge for each individual student in every lesson – Have excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced maths teacher we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).
As a maths teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
