Job Description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic SEN teacher seeking a fulfilling full-time role in a specialised primary SEN school? We are looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a dynamic school in Birkenhead. This is a full-time position starting after Easter and continuing until summer 2024.

Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Specialised Primary SEN School in Birkenhead
Schedule: Full-Time, After Easter until Summer 2024

Role and Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of primary-aged students with special educational needs
– Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters holistic development
– Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans
– Utilise innovative teaching strategies to engage and support students with SEN
– Foster strong partnerships with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity of support and learning at home

Qualifications and Experience:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching, preferably within a primary school setting
– Sound knowledge of SEN practices, including specific experience with a variety of special educational needs
– Ability to tailor teaching approaches and resources to support the diverse needs of students with SEN
– Excellent communication, empathy, and patience when working with students, parents, and colleagues

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Ideally experience working in an SEN environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term
