New Directions Education are looking for a committed and experienced SENDCO to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead inclusive practice and ensure every student reaches their full potential.

About the Role:

As SENDCO, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development of the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Identify and support students with SEND, ensuring they receive high-quality teaching and appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and support staff to develop and implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
  • Manage the SEND team, including Teaching Assistants and Learning Support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and maintain up-to-date records and reports.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential- this is a teaching role so you do require QTS
  • National Award for SEND Coordination – Essential.
  • Proven experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, including EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all.
