New Directions Education are looking for a committed and experienced SENDCO to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead inclusive practice and ensure every student reaches their full potential.
About the Role:
As SENDCO, you will:
Lead the strategic development of the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Identify and support students with SEND, ensuring they receive high-quality teaching and appropriate interventions.
Coordinate with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and support staff to develop and implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
Manage the SEND team, including Teaching Assistants and Learning Support staff.
Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and maintain up-to-date records and reports.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential- this is a teaching role so you do require QTS
National Award for SEND Coordination – Essential.
Proven experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, including EHCPs.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
A commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all.
