Teacher of Design technology and Food
Swinton, Salford
October 2024 – July 2025
£600-1200 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions Education are working with a Secondary School based in Salford who are looking for a progressive and supportive Teacher of Design technology and Food to join their team. This will be a long term role starting after October half term through until July. We are looking for a strong and enthusiastic Teacher of Design technology and food who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and induction support will be available.

As a Teacher of Design technology and food you’ll be expected to:

• Hold a PGCE and UK QTS (or QTLS)
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
• Maintain discipline.
• Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
• Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
• Have a passion for teaching
• To deliver lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
