Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Teacher of Religious Studies to join one of our partner secondary schools based in Urmston. The role will start in ASAP until at least the end of the academic year. We expect the role to go permanent for the right candidate as school are looking to fill a permanent vacancy.

As a Teacher of Religious Studies key responsibilities will include

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RS lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and integrate cross-curricular themes.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within schools in essential.
  • Proven experience teaching at secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge o the curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
