You will be supporting pupils across multiple classes, from foundation phase to key stage 2. There may also be times when you’ll be required to work closely with children who may need additional guidance with English and maths. The successful candidate will need to implement creative learning techniques to engage the pupil, needs support with socialising, and general additional learning needs.
You will have:
Good understanding of English language
A proactive attitude
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Capability to monitor behavioural needs and support pupils with low self-esteem
A calm demeanour and encouraging nature
You will need:
A minimum of 3 months child-based experience
A Child and Adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
