New Directions Education are currently extremely busy supporting schools in the Llanelli area. With this in mind, we are looking to increase our supply base and are searching for candidates that are looking for part or full hours. The work available can be flexible around your own time and you are able to manage your own diary dependent on your availability. You are also able to state areas that you are willing to travel too, and preferred age groups to work with. This type of position is ideal for someone who wants to work around children’s school hours.
Main responsibilities will include supporting pupils in general classroom settings, 1:1 support work external from the classroom, monitoring behavior and working in conjunction with classroom teacher and assisting with literacy and numeracy sessions. You will also be involved in setting up equipment, preparing materials for lessons and the recording of pupils achievements and progress.
To qualify for this role you don’t need to have any specific experience or hold relevant qualifications. You will receive help and guidance and also be enrolled onto training courses to assist you.
