The successful candidate will need to implement creative learning techniques to engage pupils, who need extra support with literacy and numeracy. There may also be children with low self-esteem, emotional and behavioural difficulties that also need extra care and encouragement.
An important part of this role is to build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupils. The successful candidate will need to have a calm demeanour and be committed, as well as encouraging.
Previous experience of working with pupils with behaviour difficulties, on a one-to-one basis and a group basis will be beneficial for this job role.
You will need:
A minimum of 3 months child-based experience
A Child and Adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
