New Directions are seeking a tutor to work with pupils in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area. The candidate would need to be Thrive trained, and be able to work with EOTAS (Education other than at School) pupils who are not currently attending school.
Thrive is a therapeutic approach to help support children with their emotional and social development. The Thrive approach offers practical strategies and techniques and is built around online assessments which identify children’s emotional development and provides action plans for their individual needs.
For this role, the candidate would need access to their own transport as travelling to pupils homes, and relevant learning centres may be required.

Tutors work on a 1-2-1 basis with students usually within the students’ home, covering a variety of subjects notably core subjects including mathematics, English and science.
Tutor sessions will be bespoke for each student depending on age and levels, and will normally last between 1 and 2 hours.
Tutors can cover all levels from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 however tutors will need to have experience of teaching core subjects such as English, science, and mathematics at the level they will be tutoring.
