New Directions are currently recruiting trainee teaching assistants to work in additional learning needs school across the South Wales area. These roles consist of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs as well as physical/medical needs.
We are looking for candidates who are flexible and proactive with their work approach and also with their availability for work. The general hours required to work are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am to 3.30pm.
In order to to register with New Directions we require the below;
Most recent employment reference – You must have been in this for for at least 6 months in the last 5 years and show experience of working within a team. – The identity of the referee must be verified to validate authentication. Professional references cannot be accepted from personal email accounts e.g. hotmail, gmail etc.
2 x character references – preferably 1 of which to be from someone who works in a child-based role
References to cover 2 years

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:
Ideally experience working in an ALN environment or from a care background
An excellent track record
Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
