New Directions Education are looking to appoint teachers who would be confident teaching Year 1/2 Classes for primary schools within the centre of Swansea. We will be able to offer you work as soon as your file is compliant and in schools of your choice. There are around 30 pupils in the classes and you will have full time Classroom Assistants for support. The schools are looking for applicants who have strong knowledge of the Foundation Phase and a variety of ideas to utilise their outdoor learning area.
Teachers who are registered with New Directions will benefit from: –
A dedicated Account Manager to work on your behalf;
NQTs will have an experienced NQT Consultant to support with any Induction queries;
Access to free CPD courses and webinars;
Access to our Recommend a Friend scheme.
The schools are set within the city centre where regular public transport links are available. You will need to work closely with the classroom assistant within your class through planning and delegating activities for them to undertake with small groups. New Directions will be able to offer you full or part time hours to suit your requirements and we also have half day placements available too.
Your role as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
As a Primary School Key Stage 1 Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
