New Directions are looking for a flexible, confident and talented Primary School teacher to work within a number of Welsh medium schools in Newport and surrounding areas.
This role is based working within Welsh Language schools so the ability
to speak and teach through the medium of Welsh is essential. Due to the varied
nature of the role the ideal candidate must be flexible and able to adapt well
to new surroundings.
The role is open to both NQT’s and more experienced teachers and may be
ideal for someone who is looking to gain an experience of working in a number
of different schools.
We ask that all our teachers are:
Registered with the Education Workforce
Council (EWC) and hold QTS
In possession of a DBS disclosure that is on
the Update Service or are able to complete one through New Directions
Are able to adapt to different age groups and
requirements at short notice
Able to provide references that comment on
their Teaching Ability
We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.
As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
