New Directions Education are looking to appoint an experienced School Administrator, to work on a supply in a Wrexham based Secondary School.

Situated in Wrexham the Secondary School prides it self on the academic success of the pupils and their acheivments throughout the extra-curricular life of the school. The school prides itself in being caring and developing ambitious and capable learners in an environment where everyone is safe, happy and eager to learn.

We are looking for a very dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate fluent welsh speaking administrator who will be required to work part time, 3 days a week, 8.30am-3.30pm

Previous experience working in a school office is desirable and all applicants must be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the School Information Management System (SIMS). 

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced school administrator to join us, to provide support to a local primary school and work as an integral part of the school support team.

Job Specification

We recruit a wide variety of School Office Staff roles, including school secretaries, receptionists, administrators, and school clerks.

Duties are varied and may include the following:

  • Receptionist duties such as answering the phone and welcoming visitors
  • Administrative duties such as typing letters, sorting post, managing emails
  • Dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationery, paying invoices, handling monies, printing and photocopying and managing schools systems like SIMS

School Office Staff must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.

Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. Working knowledge of SIMS system is advantageous.

Schools will expect all school support staff to have a good standard of education, some previous office work experience and ideally previous experience working within an educational setting.
