New Directions Education are currently looking to recruit a Science Teacher who would be comfortable teaching through the medium of Welsh.
The Secondary school is a Welsh-medium comprehensive school for pupils aged between 11 and 18 years which is maintained by Wrexham local authority. It has approximately 800 pupils, including 150 students in sixth form. The school serves pupils from the town’s Welsh-medium primary schools and also from villages and rural areas around Wrexham.
The ability to teach the subject to A Level standard isn’t essential, but you would require a strong background. The ideal candidate would be able to provide lessons that meet the curriculum requirements and have excellent organisation skills to assess and mark the pupils work carefully.
From time to time you may be required to teach challenging classes, therefore good classroom management skills and behaviour strategies are essential to enhance pupil’s abilities daily.
As the position is on a long-term basis, the successful candidate would be required to plan and prepare relevant lessons / activities whilst providing support to the pupils.
