This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school provides a highly structured and nurturing environment for children with a range of complex needs, including pupils who are non-verbal. Staff work collaboratively to deliver personalised learning and care, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs<br>\u2022 Teach pupils who may be non-verbal, using a range of alternative communication strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton, visual aids)<br>\u2022 Lead a small class with the support of experienced teaching assistants<br>\u2022 Develop and implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans<br>\u2022 Work closely with support staff and external professionals (e.g. therapists)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent<br>\u2022 Has previous experience supporting children or adults with complex needs (essential)<br>\u2022 Has experience working with non-verbal pupils or a strong willingness to develop in this area<br>\u2022 Demonstrates a patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach<br>\u2022 Has a good understanding of SEND, particularly complex needs and communication difficulties<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 References covering the last 5 years<br>\u2022 Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A specialist SEND primary school in South Liverpool is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to support pupils with complex needs.
