New Directions Education are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)<\/strong> to work in primary and secondary schools across Chester. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupil progress and are confident leading learning in the absence of the class teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the specifics of this role, candidates must be able to commit to 3 or more days per week.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
\u2022 Leading small group interventions to support pupil progress
\u2022 Providing targeted 1:1 support where required
\u2022 Supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups
\u2022 Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies
\u2022 Supporting pupils\u2019 academic, social, and emotional development
\u2022 Working closely with class teachers and senior leaders
\u2022 Assisting with assessment, monitoring, and feedback<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
\u2022 Previous experience working within a school setting
\u2022 Confidence in leading whole-class learning
\u2022 Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
\u2022 Excellent communication and organisational skills
\u2022 A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
\u2022 A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
\u2022 A genuine passion for supporting children and young people<\/p>\n\n\n\n
