Job Purpose<\/strong>
We are currently looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs within a specialist school in Erdington.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with physical, sensory, and communication needs to access learning and develop independence.

Key Responsibilities \u2013 Teaching & Learning Support<\/strong>
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with PMLD and complex needs
Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
Support sensory-based learning and communication activities
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Encourage engagement, independence, and wellbeing
Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Person Requirements<\/strong>
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs or disabilities
Caring, patient, and supportive nature
Comfortable supporting personal care needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory references

Qualifications<\/strong>
No formal qualifications required<\/strong>
Relevant SEND experience required<\/strong>, including:
Care work
Support work
SEND school experience
