They will demonstrate excellent classroom management, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and subject areas. The candidate will be flexible, reliable and confident in delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining continuity of learning, and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where high standards of behaviour and achievement are promoted. They will have a sound understanding of the National Curriculum, current assessment practices and safeguarding responsibilities, together with the ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and those requiring additional challenge. The successful applicant will establish positive relationships with students, staff and parents, work effectively as part of a school team, and demonstrate professionalism, resilience and a commitment to supporting the welfare and progress of every learner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"pt-2\">Job Specification<\/h2>\n<p>The role of a Secondary Teacher is a far-reaching and rewarding role that shapes the futures of young people.<\/p>\n<p>As a Secondary Teacher you\u2019ll be expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold QTS status<\/li>\n<li>Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism<\/li>\n<li>Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment<\/li>\n<li>Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges<\/li>\n<li>Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation<\/li>\n<li>Maintain discipline<\/li>\n<li>Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils&#8217; development<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum<\/li>\n<li>Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the ability to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and, where required, Key Stage 5.
