you.<br><br><strong>About the Role<\/strong><br>As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a wide range of complex learning and physical disabilities.<br>No two days are the same, and your role will be vital in ensuring each pupil can engage in learning activities and reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Your responsibilities will include:<br>-Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with PMLD.<br>-Supporting pupils with complex communication, sensory, physical, and medical needs.<br>-Assisting with personalised learning activities designed around individual EHCP targets.<br>-Supporting pupils with sensory-based learning approaches and interactive activities.<br>-Working alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and teaching staff.<br>-Encouraging communication through a range of methods including PECS, Makaton, communication boards, and assistive technologies.<br>-Promoting independence, self-confidence, and social development.<br>-Supporting pupils during lessons, therapy sessions, hydrotherapy, and enrichment activities where required.<br>-Assisting with behaviour support strategies in line with individual learning plans.<br>-Monitoring and recording pupil progress and achievements.<br>-Providing personal care where required, including toileting, feeding, changing, and moving and handling support.<br>-Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, dignity, and welfare of all pupils at all times.<br><br><strong>The Ideal Candidate<\/strong><br>We are looking for individuals who are patient, caring, resilient, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.<br>To be successful in this role, you should have:<br>&#8211; Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)<br>&#8211; Experience supporting individuals with PMLD, SLD, ASD, Complex Needs, Physical Disabilities, or Medical Needs is highly desirable<br>&#8211; A strong understanding of person-centred support and inclusive education<br>&#8211; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br>&#8211; The ability to remain calm, positive, and professional in challenging situations<br>&#8211; Experience providing personal care or a willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities<br>&#8211; A flexible and adaptable approach to working with pupils with varying needs<br>&#8211; A commitment to
