As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teacher. Your primary responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supervising classes during teacher absences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring students remain on task with the work set by their teachers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing support to students where necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reporting back as appropriate using the school&#8217;s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supervise work that has been set in accordance with the school policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school\u2019s policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report, as appropriate, using the school\u2019s agreed referral procedures, on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience working within school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage groups of students and maintain classroom discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A flexible and adaptable approach to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A supportive and dynamic working environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional development opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competitive salary and benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are fully committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
