This is an excellent opportunity for HLTAs who enjoy taking on additional responsibility, supporting teachers, and leading learning when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The schools we work with are welcoming and supportive, with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, inclusion, and student development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Role:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher<br>\u2022 Leading whole-class learning across EYFS, KS1, and\/or KS2<br>\u2022 Delivering targeted interventions to support student progress<br>\u2022 Providing 1:1 and small group support where required<br>\u2022 Supporting students with a range of learning needs and abilities<br>\u2022 Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies<br>\u2022 Working closely with teachers, support staff, and senior leaders<br>\u2022 Assisting with assessment and monitoring student progress<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Ideal Candidate Will Have:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)<br>\u2022 Experience working within a primary school setting<br>\u2022 Confidence leading classes and delivering learning activities<br>\u2022 Strong classroom and behaviour management skills<br>\u2022 Excellent communication and organisational skills<br>\u2022 A flexible, proactive, and professional approach<br>\u2022 A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection<br>\u2022 A genuine passion for supporting children&#8217;s learning and development<br>\u2022 A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an <strong>Enhanced DBS check<\/strong> and provide appropriate professional references.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Directions Education are currently recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in primary schools across Chester and surrounding areas.
