Experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, residential settings or similar roles would be highly beneficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student throughout the school day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting the student with their learning, engagement and development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helping students access classroom activities and the wider curriculum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing encouragement and support to build confidence and independence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation where required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapting support to meet the individual needs of the student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building a positive and trusting relationship with the student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting an inclusive and positive learning environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following individual support plans and school policies where required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Ideal Candidate Will Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience working with children or young people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience within childcare, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, social care or a similar setting is desirable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A genuine interest in working within education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A patient, calm and nurturing approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to build trust and positive relationships with students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A flexible and adaptable approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A passion for supporting children to reach their potential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A strong understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping students safe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previous school-based experience is not essential.
