This is a full-time position starting at October half term and continuing until the end of the academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The class has <strong>32 pupils<\/strong>, including <strong>two children with EHCPs who have dedicated 1:1 support<\/strong>. There is a higher level of need within the class, so the school is looking for a teacher who is confident managing a busy classroom and supporting a range of individual needs. The school is very supportive, with a strong team around the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teaching a Year 4 class of 32 pupils across the full primary curriculum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting pupils with a range of learning and additional needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working closely with the two dedicated 1:1 support staff within the classroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining clear expectations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Differentiating learning to meet the needs of pupils across the class.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Candidate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>QTS is essential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous primary teaching experience is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KS2 experience, particularly Year 4, is desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confident managing a busy classroom with a range of needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to differentiate and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confident working alongside teaching assistants and 1:1 support staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to build positive relationships with pupils and maintain high expectations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible, organised and able to remain calm in a busy classroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available to start at October half term and commit to the end of the academic year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Directions are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Chorlton.
