Job Purpose<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are currently looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Lunchtime Supervisor<\/strong> to support pupils during the lunchtime period at a welcoming school in Great Barr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working with children or young people who is looking for consistent part-time, term-time work that fits around the school day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also a fantastic way to build school-based experience and develop your confidence working with pupils<\/strong>, particularly if your longer-term goal is to progress into a full-time Teaching Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will play an important part in making lunchtime safe, positive and enjoyable, supporting positive behaviour, encouraging social interaction and providing additional assistance to pupils where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities \u2013 Lunchtime Supervision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitor pupils within dining and communal areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Supervise indoor and outdoor break periods<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Encourage positive behaviour and respectful interaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promote positive play and appropriate social interaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support children who may require additional assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Help pupils follow school routines and expectations<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Respond appropriately to minor incidents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Report safeguarding, behaviour or welfare concerns to appropriate staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Work alongside lunchtime supervisors, Teaching Assistants and other school staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Person Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Previous relevant experience working with children or young people is essential.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
