{"id":163085,"date":"2025-04-02T12:29:15","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T11:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.new-directions.co.uk\/education\/?post_type=job_specifications&#038;p=163085"},"modified":"2025-04-02T12:29:23","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T11:29:23","slug":"wlm-learning-support-assistants","status":"publish","type":"job_specifications","link":"https:\/\/www.new-directions.co.uk\/education\/job-specification\/wlm-learning-support-assistants\/","title":{"rendered":"WLM &#8211; Learning Support Assistants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Working within a Welsh medium school is not only rewarding but essential in keeping the Welsh language prominent within our society.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for reliable and responsible individuals, who are passionate about working with children to help them strive and make their school experience a fun and safe environment by giving them the tools to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>Your responsibilities will be to support the teacher in delivering lessons and activities in a safe and engaging manner, assisting in the preparation of lessons plans and learning resources and encouraging positive behaviour and supporting the teacher with classroom management.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally, we ask for 3 months minimum experience working with children or have a child-based qualification. We do consider candidates who have transferable skills, this means having experience working in social care, coaching, or nursing.<\/p>\n<p>Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools. We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant<\/li>\n<li>NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant<\/li>\n<li>Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)<\/li>\n<li>CACHE Level 3 in Childcare &amp;
