June is Pride Month – a time to celebrate diversity, champion equality, and reflect on the progress and ongoing challenges facing the LGBTQIA+ community. At New Directions Education, we\u2019re proud to stand alongside our colleagues, educators, and learners to support a future where inclusion, acceptance, and self-expression are embraced at every level of the education system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a company working closely with schools, colleges, and educators across the UK, we understand that inclusion isn\u2019t just a value, it\u2019s a responsibility. The classroom should be a safe and affirming space for every young person, and that starts with the people who work in them.<\/p>\n\n\n

Standing With the LGBTQIA+ Community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pride Month gives us the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion, not just in our own workplace, but across the schools and education settings we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to support LGBTQIA+ professionals in education, whether they\u2019re teachers, support staff, or early career educators. We recognise that visibility and allyship matter, and that every person should feel able to be their authentic self at work, without fear or hesitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At New Directions Education, we want to ensure that our educators and candidates feel seen, supported, and respected. That means actively listening, creating space for open conversations, and continuously improving our own practices to reflect a truly inclusive culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inclusion Starts with Us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Inclusion doesn\u2019t happen by accident. It\u2019s something we build intentionally, through our policies, our actions, and the way we show up for one another. That\u2019s why we are committed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Supporting inclusive recruitment practices that empower individuals of all identities and backgrounds
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Providing training and guidance to help our teams and partner schools foster inclusive environments for both staff and students
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Listening to lived experiences so we can continue learning, growing, and improving as an organisation
    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    We also encourage the schools and educators we work with to embrace Pride Month as an opportunity to start meaningful conversations in the classroom, which helps the next generation grow up with empathy, understanding, and respect for all identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A Safe Space for Self-Expression<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    We want everyone who works with us, whether you\u2019re part of our internal team or part of our educator community, to feel that New Directions Education is a place where you can be yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We know that being open about your identity can be a deeply personal journey. Whether you\u2019re out, exploring, or prefer to keep things private, our message is simple: you belong here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our strength lies in our people, and that includes a wide spectrum of identities, experiences, and perspectives. That diversity makes us stronger, more compassionate, and more effective at what we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As we celebrate Pride Month, we\u2019re also looking ahead. Inclusion is not a box to tick, but a journey we are committed to walking hand in hand with our colleagues, our candidates, and the wider education community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We know the role that education plays in shaping minds and changing lives. By standing proudly with the LGBTQIA+ community, we aim to help create school cultures where all staff and students feel seen, heard, and supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
