New Directions is delighted to\u00a0sponsor Mr Adrian Cresswell from Newman College\u00a0for the second year running. \u00a0For the last three years,\u00a0Adrian and his son-in-law Mike (pillion), have taken part in the same event of riding 1000 miles in under 24 hours\u00a0for the Poppy appeal.<\/p>\n

This year is different,\u00a0they will be doing it again, only\u00a0Mike will be riding his own bike and\u00a0Adrian will have his\u00a0wife Andrea on his bike. \u00a0This means that this will be a first for the both of them.They will be starting at Squires Cafe, in Sheburn in Helmet, riding up to Wick in Scotland via Fort William then back to Squires via Berwick, a total of 1018 miles.<\/p>\n

Last year\u00a0Adrian and\u00a0Mike raised \u00a32075 for the Poppy Appeal,\u00a0Their best year yet.\u00a0\u00a0Adrian hopes\u00a0they can better it this year.The Royal British Legion is a UK charity that provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. They\u00a0are active members of the Royal British legion Riders Branch, details of the branch can be found here\u00a0http:\/\/www.rblr.co.uk\/content\/<\/a><\/p>\n
