On Tuesday 28th<\/sup> January, Matt Davies (Account Manager) and Rob Ratcliffe (Business Development Officer) delivered a 70 minute session to students following a BA (Hons) degree course in Education.\u00a0 The focus of the session was \u2018Teaching Today\u2019 with specific reference to the role of someone working on supply.<\/p>\n

Matt concentrated on his role as Account Manager and how he can be proactive in finding the students part-time work on their days off and when the University term ends.\u00a0\u00a0 Rob\u2019s role was to consider all the issues facing today\u2019s supply staff, but more importantly, to accentuate the positive role that teachers and TAs have with children and young people.<\/p>\n

Feedback from students and\u00a0Course\u00a0Director Judith Dalton-Morris (Senior Lecturer) was very encouraging.\u00a0 Judith is keen to make this an annual event.\u00a0 Following the session, 20 students completed initial interest forms for Matt to follow-up and hopefully recruit them as TAs.<\/p>\n

This is the first of what will hopefully be a long-lasting working relationship with Glyndwr, our local University.<\/p>\n
