{"id":8277,"date":"2011-11-18T09:19:20","date_gmt":"2011-11-18T09:19:20","guid":{"rendered":"\/education\/?p=8277"},"modified":"2011-11-18T09:19:20","modified_gmt":"2011-11-18T09:19:20","slug":"guinness-world-record-breakers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.new-directions.co.uk\/education\/2011\/11\/guinness-world-record-breakers\/","title":{"rendered":"Guinness World Record Breakers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St Georges Primary School and Church in Stockport, Greater Manchester have made it into the Guinness Book of Records by making the worlds largest patchwork jacket.<\/p>\n<p>The Coat of Many Colours measures 42ft\u00a06in\u00a0(13m) by 18ft\u00a02in\u00a0(5.5m) and weighs more than 364lbs\u00a0(165kgs). The church have stated it will be taken apart to make blankets to send to Africa.<\/p>\n<p>A coffee morning is being held \u00a0later to celebrate the receipt of the official Guinness Certificate confirming the record set with the coat. It was made for a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, performed by parishioners at the St George&#8217;s Festival this summer.
