This is a rewarding opportunity for compassionate, resilient individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the nature of the role, <strong>candidates must be able to drive<\/strong> to support young people with appointments, activities, and community access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a key role in creating a <strong>safe, stable, and nurturing environment<\/strong> for children and young people. Many of the young people you will support may have experienced trauma or challenging life circumstances, so patience, empathy, and consistency are essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your responsibilities may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supporting young people with <strong>daily routines and life skills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing <strong>emotional support, guidance, and positive role modelling<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting with <strong>education, hobbies, and community activities<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transporting young people to <strong>appointments, school, and activities<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging <strong>independence, confidence, and positive behaviour<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working as part of a <strong>dedicated residential care team<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining <strong>accurate records and following safeguarding procedures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What We\u2019re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle<\/strong> (essential)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working with <strong>children or young people<\/strong> in care, residential, or support settings (preferred)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>calm, patient, and resilient approach<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work <strong>flexible shifts<\/strong>, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong <strong>communication and teamwork skills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to <strong>safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Support Young People.
