We are looking for someone to join our Bristol operation to add even more success to our very brilliant team\u2026but we are struggling to find the right person.<\/p>\n<p>With a population of 449,300 (yes I have been on the government statistics website) \u2013 of which 306,300 are of a working age, I have to ask the question, WHY can\u2019t we find someone?<\/p>\n<p>We chose Bristol as a home for our team a few years ago; we love the city \u2013 the culture, the food, the music&#8230;the night life. We have established a real presence in the region and have a wonderful list of candidates and clients we work to support within the social care sector. The office is central (right next door to Temple Meads) and the pay is good.<\/p>\n<p>I am sat scratching my head about how best we can \u2018sell\u2019 our job to a brilliant vibrant community of people and showcase how much we offer as a team. I\u2019ll start with the obvious &#8211; our benefits. For a recruitment company (an industry that hasn\u2019t always been at the top of the \u2018must-work-for\u2019 tree) we are really competitive. We encourage learning \u2013 NVQs, Management Qualifications, industry specific courses&#8230;the lot. We have a health cash-back scheme &#8211; you want your teeth whitening or a session with a chiropractor \u2013 we\u2019ll pay! We have a Christmas savings scheme with a 3% cash back incentive (sounds a long time away now\u2026but wow is the November pay packet a happy one).<\/p>\n<p>Our holiday entitlement is generous and it rises after two years\u2019 service. We do a cycle-to-work scheme (Bristol is the biking capital of England is it not?) and we support staff on an IVF journey with time off for treatment.<br \/>\nCrikey, we are so generous 97% of our staff said they would recommend working for New Directions in the last staff survey! Oh and we won \u2018Best Company to Work For (under 250 Employees)\u2019 at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation IRP Awards in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The team itself \u2013 New Directions Social Care are a bunch of winners&#8230;and in many ways wonderful misfits. Such is our reputation that we have been named \u2018Community Team of the Year\u2019 at our own annual company conference \u2013 nominated by our colleagues from across the organisation. Oh yeah \u2013 the annual Company Conference &#8211; day out in Cardiff on the business, a day of celebration, good food, great company and for those who wish &#8211; a beverage or two.<br \/>\nThe role speaks for itself \u2013 check it out&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.new-directions.co.uk\/blog\/job-vacancies\/recruitment-consultant-job-bristol-social-care\/\" target=\"_blank\">Link to the potential job of your dreams&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is challenging but rewarding, it\u2019s infuriating but manages to fulfil the people who work within our team. It\u2019s aspirational and it poses opportunity after opportunity. <\/p>\n<p>We know that Bristol is a home for creative minds, for passion and enthusiasm and making the city a better place, a more sustainable community. So this is my blog, my plea \u2013 share the hell out of this and help us find a gert lush individual who can complete our Bristol posse.
