Job Description

We are currently looking for a Pharmacy manager for a traditional family-owned pharmacy within a picturesque coastal village in North Devon. This independent pharmacy is at the heart of a local community and provides a number of important services within it.

The pharmacy is looking to recruit a qualified Pharmacist to become a Pharmacy Manager on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to manage the Pharmacy from 8am to 6.30pm four days a week and 7 hours on a Wednesday. You will also be expected to work 9am to 12pm every Saturday morning.

Within the role as a Pharmacy Manager, you will put patient service first by providing a highly professional and personal approach at all time, while demonstrating excellent attention to detail. In order to be considered for this role, you must have experience of working in a community pharmacy, leading a team and be able to demonstrate first class customer service, while consistently delivering results. You will not be required to deal with any paperwork allowing you to focus completely on the Pharmacy Manager role.

Some of your responsibilities will include dispensing items, providing services such as MUR’s, NMS, Smoking cessation and local enhanced services as well as being fully responsible for profit and loss, delivering key performance indicators, having a good understanding of NHS funding and knowing how to maximise profit through the achievement of targets.

There is a knowledgeable, experienced and qualified staff team at the Pharmacy that will support you in being able to fulfill your role.

In order to meet the full requirements of this role, you must be a people person with excellent communication skills, have experience of improving sales figures and know how to inspire your staff team to succeed and record high performing services within the local community.

Job Type – Permanent, full time (Monday to Saturday)
