Recruiters Demonstrate Heart for Christmas 2016

The New Directions group of companies has once more answered a rallying call-to-arms and supported a homelessness shelter in Bristol with their plans to add a bit of Christmas cheer for their clients.

Kirsty Knowles who heads up the Bristol division of the New Directions Social Care Team has worked in recent months to support St Mungo’s – a charity that helps individuals recover from issues created by homelessness. Alongside supporting recruitment plans for the organisation, Kirsty has created a Christmas buzz for a shelter based in the city that supports up to 21 females at a time who are facing rough sleeping as a consequence of relationship breakdown, domestic violence, prison release and hospital discharge.

Speaking about New Directions Social Care involvement Kirsty says ‘we are a business that operates with five core values – two of my absolute favourites are community and respect. Our business community has come together and responded to a call for help. In December we will deliver 21 shoe boxes with toiletries for the clients using the facility over Christmas. I couldn’t be prouder of the teams we work with across our organisation. There are so many big hearts and each one will give a female who is in a desperate situation this festive season a little lift with their gift’.

Additionally the team will also head to the shelter in December to decorate the space to add a bit of Christmas spirit. Kirsty adds ‘the space is brilliant, but big…if anyone has any extra Christmas decorations they feel they could donate, please get in touch – [email protected]
