New Directions Named ‘Best Company to Work For’

A leading Welsh recruitment and training organization was named as a winner at the 2016 Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.

New Directions won as ‘Best Company to Work For (under 250 employees)’ at the 2016 IRP Awards.

An IRP Award is the highest accolade an individual or company can receive in the recruitment industry and is unique in raising awareness of the positive role models whose exceptional work, and candidate and client care, sets the bar for all recruitment professionals and businesses to aspire to.

The IRP Awards are the only recruitment sector awards hosted and awarded by the REC to recognise the very best individuals and companies within our industry.
Recognising achievement across all levels and different disciplines, the awards are a true reflection of the UK’s recruitment talent. The winners were announced at the IRP Awards ceremony on Wednesday 7 December 2016 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.

This award comes in a year that has seen the organisation accept eight further accolades including ‘Best Compliance Team’ at the Women in Compliance Awards in March this year and became the first Welsh recruiter be awarded Investors in People (IIP) Gold status.

REC chief executive Kevin Green said:
‘The winners deserve a huge amount of credit and can be held up as the leading lights within recruitment. We know that recruiters transform lives, and the companies and individuals showcased this year demonstrate the value that our industry delivers every day.
Every year the calibre of nominations to the IRP Awards get better and better. All of those shortlisted should be proud of their work, which is driving up standards and professionalism in recruitment’.

Speaking about the win, Ruth Dalton Group Head of Communications and Marketing said ‘we are just over the moon to be recognised once more this year for the hard work everyone within our teams across the UK carries out. From Cardiff to Cross Hands, Brynmawr to Bangor, our staff really reperesent all that is integrity in recruitment. To be celebrated with such a reward is the best Christmas present we could have received’.
