Residential Children’s Support Worker
Bridgend CF31
Rate £12.88- £13.44
Shifts available
7am -11pm long days
7am-3pm – Days
11pm-7am – Waking Nights
The Role
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Children’s residential care workers to work within one of our fabulous clients’ residential homes.
We are seeking those who can make a house feel like home and support the Children to feel welcomed, safe and well supported. You will be a listening ear helping to promote individuals’ independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities.
Working with families and partner organisations to ensure support is personalised to meet the individual’s needs. You will use a range of communication methods to assist individuals to make informed day-to-day choices
You will be familiar with maintaining accurate record keeping of activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.
You will be required to undertake general housekeeping duties and be comfortable taking ownership to safeguard and protect vulnerable individuals, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone we support is your paramount concern.
Our ideal candidate
A minimum of 3 months paid experience in a similar role

The ability to work flexibly
Be able to undertake an enhanced DBS check
23 years of age or older. We believe it is appropriate that there is a gap in age between the children supported and the staff looking after them; that allows us to ensure the best care in the safest environment.
